Here's a view of the cabin as you pull into the driveway. Parking is on the basement level, and stairs lead up to the main level. The hot tub is on the opposite side of the cabin.
The hot tub side of the cabin has a great view of the Nantahala Gorge (the cabin namesake).
A wide view of the hot tub side of the house shows the bedroom door access, the hot tub, a glimpse of the outdoor fireplace, as well as the great view.
Sit in the tub and enjoy the stars and the long range view of the Nantahala National Forest. Many mornings, the low clouds over the Nantahala River fill the gorge with white cotton.
The hot tub also enjoys the setting of the outside fireplace (firewood provided).
The front part of the deck is covered and has plenty of cedar patio furniture.

The stone fireplace is gas logs for convenience and safety (outdoor fireplace burns real wood). The bedroom can be seen in the distance.
The corner of the great room features a dining table for 4 that enjoys the beautiful view (table linens for photo shoot only).
The kitchen is all modern and fully equipped (no automatic dishwasher, though).
The king bedroom and master bath in the distance.
The vaulted ceiling and rafters add to the character of the bedroom. The sliding doors lead out to the hot tub and outdoor fireplace.
The rafter construction and high ceilings carry throughout.
Downstairs there is an 8' slate pool table and access out to the lower deck.
The rec area also has a flat panel TV with satellite service.

kitchen

The kitchen includes all-new, stainless steel appliances including microwave, stove, refridgerator, coffee maker and grinder  (note there is no dishwasher in this cabin). The cabinets are adequately stocked with dishes, utensils, glassware and more cooking gear than you'd expect at a rental cabin (cookie sheets, bread pans, non-stick pots/pan, and accessories right down to the kabob skewers).

sleeping accommodations

All our cabins feature both down and foam pillows as well as down comforters.  Your beds have a pillow-top mattress and luxury, 600 thread count, Egyptian cotton linens. The top spread is a lush cabin style and the bed is made with plenty of coordinating throw pillows and Euro-shams. Ralph Lauren towels are provided for showering, and extra hot tub towels are also stocked. You've never stayed in the Smokies like this before.

great room

The great room is open and spacious.  It features large windows looking out to the view, and plenty of room to enjoy preparing and eating a meal or hanging out in front of the gas-log fireplace to watch a movie. There is a full lineup on the DirecTV including local network channels, HBO (and other premium movie channels), an upgraded sports package, and plenty of music stations.
