About Big Sky Lodge

There are mountain views, and then there are ridgetop views. Big Sky Lodge sits at the top of its own ridge above Bryson City, oriented west so the sunsets arrive like a nightly event — wide sky, layered ridgelines, and a glimpse of Fontana Lake catching the last light of the day. It’s the kind of view that makes you reconsider your plans for the evening.

This custom log home was built for groups who want to actually be together. The main-level great room anchors the common space with hardwood floors, a stone wood-burning fireplace, leather sofa and loveseat, and a home theater system with satellite TV. Upstairs, the king master suite occupies its own level with a private bath. On the ground floor, a full basement rec room with a pool table, sectional sofa, and its own gaming and home theater setup gives the group a second gathering space — ideal when half the party wants to watch the game and the other half wants to play cards on the deck.

The kitchen is appointed with granite countertops, stainless steel appliances, and everything you need to cook for a crowd. Outside, the hot tub and deck face west into that view. This is a property that works just as hard for ten people as it does for four — and it does it all from a ridgetop that feels genuinely removed from the rest of the world, even though Bryson City and the Nantahala River are just minutes away.
