About Falling Waters
Falling Waters earns its name before you even step inside. A small waterfall greets you at the driveway — a fitting welcome for a cabin that manages to feel both secluded and effortlessly accessible, sitting just ten minutes from the Nantahala Outdoor Center high above the gorge.
The floor plan is entirely single-level, which makes this cabin as practical as it is comfortable. Both bedrooms work equally well as a master suite — one has a king bed with the two-sided gas-log fireplace opening into both the bedroom and the great room, plus direct access to the covered porch and hot tub deck. The other has a queen bed and a Jacuzzi tub in the bath. The great room features log-wall interiors, hardwood floors, leather sofa and loveseat, and a big-screen HDTV with satellite and CD/DVD. The kitchen is appointed with Corian countertops and all new appliances.
Outside, the covered porch and hot tub deck face into the mountain view — private, quiet, and a long way from wherever you came from. For guests who want to adventure, the NOC is ten minutes down the mountain. For guests who want to do nothing at all, the hot tub and the view are sufficient reason to stay put.
