About Fontana Lake Lodge

There are lakefront properties, and then there is Fontana Lake Lodge. This is a different category entirely — a 5,000-square-foot recently renovated lodge home sitting directly on the crystalline emerald waters of Lake Fontana, with a private dock, a boat slip, two large multi-level decks, and views that stretch from the water’s surface all the way to the ridgeline of Great Smoky Mountains National Park. If you are bringing a large group and you want everyone to leave genuinely impressed, this is the property.

The interior matches the setting. A gourmet chef’s kitchen with granite countertops and high-end appliances opens onto three large living spaces designed for groups. The master suite is a sanctuary — an antique king bed with luxurious bedding, elegant French doors opening onto the lake deck, and an outdoor wood-burning fireplace on the deck itself for watching the sunrise over Fontana. A 55-inch smart TV, a hot tub, and a game loft round out a home that genuinely has nothing missing.

On the water, the private dock with upper deck and boat slip invites you to bring your own boat for the week. Watershed Cabins can also connect you with a local pontoon rental service if you’d prefer to go that route. Fishing, kayaking, paddleboarding, and swimming are all right at your doorstep. The fire pit on the grounds gives evenings their proper anchor — s’mores, stargazing, and the sound of the lake in the dark.

Bryson City, the NOC, Deep Creek, Tsali, and the full range of Western North Carolina outdoor experiences are all close by. But with a property like this, you may find it genuinely difficult to leave.
