This vintage single-story cabin sits on a gated 30-acre estate in the Deep Creek area — private from the other homes on the property, with a sizable yard that opens into the surrounding landscape. The great room is open-concept kitchen and living in one comfortable space, with all appliances, washer and dryer, and everything you need without feeling cluttered. The covered porch and hot tub face the mountain view. The fire pit is just outside for evenings around the flames. And when you’re ready to stretch your legs without getting in the car, the trail down to Peace Valley pasture is right there — a genuinely lovely walk that guests with dogs especially love.

Just one step up to enter, single-story throughout — Lower 40 works equally well for families, couples, and guests who prefer a home without stairs. Downtown Bryson City, Deep Creek hiking and waterfalls, and the Great Smoky Mountains Railroad are all within five minutes. It’s a rare combination: total privacy and total convenience, on the same property.

Getting Here: Lower 40 is located on a gated estate in the Deep Creek area. The access road is easy and suitable for all vehicles. Exact directions will be provided after booking.

Single-Level Access: The cabin has just one step up to enter and is entirely single-story — a great option for guests who prefer or require step-free living.

Pets: Lower 40 is pet friendly. The yard and Peace Valley trail are ideal for dogs. Pet fees apply and are handled at time of booking. Please keep pets leashed on the trail and supervised on the property.
