It’s what the cabin is named for, and it’s what guests remember long after they’ve unpacked back home.

This is a large, beautifully appointed two-bedroom cabin with a floor plan that gives both levels their own character. The main-floor king bedroom is warm and comfortable with luxury bedding and coordinating cabin-style décor. The lower-level queen bedroom has its own private bathroom and futon. The great room is generously sized with hardwood floors, an interior fireplace, and a fully stocked kitchen that goes well beyond the basics — cookie sheets, bread pans, kabob skewers, and everything in between. The kitchen is the kind that makes you actually want to cook.

Outside, the property earns its name in two directions: the covered porch is a perfect spot for morning coffee in any weather, and the upper deck has a gas-log fireplace and a private hot tub — the combination that turns a mountain view into a full sensory experience. Deep in the woods, genuinely private, within easy reach of Tsali, the NOC, and Fontana Lake. Nantahala Gorgeous delivers exactly what it promises.

Getting Here: Nantahala Gorgeous is accessed via a mountain road in the Nantahala Gorge area. Please drive attentively, especially after dark or in wet conditions. As one guest put it, it is “definitely IN THE WOODS” — and that’s exactly the point. Exact directions will be provided after booking.

Internet: A StraighTalk cellular WiFi router provides basic internet connectivity. Signal strength depends on cellular coverage and is suitable for casual browsing. Plan accordingly for bandwidth-intensive needs.
