About Valley View Cottage
Less than half a mile from the Great Smoky Mountains National Park entrance at Deep Creek — that’s the address. You can hike to three waterfalls, tube a crystal-clear mountain creek in summer, picnic inside the park, or just walk the neighborhood into the woods and let the kids lead the way. When you get back, the screened porch, the fire pit, and the hot tub are waiting.
Valley View Cottage is one of the most value-forward properties in the Watershed portfolio, and it earns its place not through luxury features but through an exceptional location and a layout that simply works for families. Two queen bedrooms, with a bunk bed set in the master for kids. A screened porch with rocking chairs that functions as a second living room from spring through fall. A landscaped yard full of flowers and birds — Terry has stayed four times and spotted an eastern screech owl, deer, foxes, and all kinds of birds. At night, the woods are full of interesting sounds. A wide-screen smart TV in the living room with Netflix, Hulu, and streaming built in, and what one guest called “the best-stocked kitchen we’ve had to date at any Airbnb.”
Downtown Bryson City and the Great Smoky Mountains Railroad are less than two miles away. The Road to Nowhere is four miles. Cherokee and Harrah’s is seven. For a family that wants to be close to everything — park, town, railroad, tubing — without paying a premium for a large cabin they don’t need, Valley View Cottage is the answer.

Terry B. · June 2026 · Vrbo · 4th visit
“This was our 4th time staying at this cottage, we absolutely love it! It’s isolated enough that no one bothers you but still very close to town. The nature is beautiful — we saw an owl the first night, an eastern screech owl. We also saw deer, foxes, and all kinds of different birds. The woods are wonderful at night, all kinds of interesting sounds. There was new furniture in the living room and some new rugs this visit!”

Scarlet · November 2025
“We absolutely LOVED this cottage! It’s small, but still plenty of space for 2 adults and 3 kids. Very cozy — working gas fireplace, cozy comfy beds, nice comfy furniture with lots of seating in the living room, beautiful screened-in porch with rocking chairs, working gas grill, nice fire pit outside, and the best-stocked kitchen we’ve had to date at any Airbnb. I managed an entire Thanksgiving meal on it, so it’s doable! Everything was clean and tidy. Loved that there were some card games and stuff. My kids say ‘We want to live here.’”
