Watershed 05 is one of those properties that handles everything at once: three families under one roof, plenty of room to spread out, enough entertainment to keep everyone happy indoors, and a location on the Watershed Resort that puts the Nantahala River, hiking trails, and the NOC practically at the front door.

The cabin is modern-rustic done right — granite countertops and stainless steel appliances in the kitchen, hardwood floors and a stone gas-log fireplace with Bose surround sound in the great room, log-wall interiors throughout. The layout is smart across three levels: a king bedroom on the main floor, upper-level bedrooms for adults who want their own space, and a genuinely clever basement bunk room with six built-in twin bunks designed so adults can actually use them comfortably — low bottom bunks, no footboard. The lower level also has a common area with a queen futon, pool table, and TV — a natural second gathering space when the great room gets busy.

Outside, the deck and outdoor wood-burning fireplace are exactly what Kevin’s review described: a hit. The hot tub overlooks the wooded surroundings. The gas grill is ready for the group cook. And the Watershed Resort setting gives guests access to on-site hiking trails right from the property.

“We had a great time with family. The cabin was very spacious and accommodating and laid out very well. We had three families together for our annual Christmas trip. There was plenty to see and do and a relaxing cabin to return home to. The hot tub and outside fireplace were a hit as well!”
