The original grand, rambling house of Euchella Sport Lodge has been recently remodeled in 2019 and is now under exciting new ownership. The property is now known as Hideaway Point and is ready for a new era of adventure in the Nantahala Gorge. Boasting a new kitchen with granite countertops, stainless appliances, and numerous upgrades, the Holiday House, as it is now called, still retains its original character and charm.
This five-bedroom house sleeps up to fifteen, with separate kitchenette studio for those wanting to be close (but not too close). A detached sauna house has a gorgeous outdoor slate shower that is truly unique (out of service during cold months due to risk of frozen pipes). Located in the heart of the Nantahala Gorge, Hideaway Point is a great basecamp for any family adventure. It's just a couple miles to the NOC, which is the heart of the whitewater rafting in the area, and also hosts amazing zip lines. Or you can head north to see Fontana Dam, Tsali Recreation Area (excellent mountain biking!), Joyce Kilmer Memorial Forest, or the Cherohala Skyway. Still convenient to anything you'll need, the adorable town of Bryson City is just 8 miles east. There you can enjoy a plethora of food trucks, breweries, restaurants, and charming shopping. Bryson City is also home to the Great Smoky Mountains Railroad and Deep Creek, which is our gateway to the Smoky Mountains National Park.
More photos of this lovely home will be available soon, but a video tour of the property is availabel by clicking the 'virtual tour' button just below the photo gallery. In the virtual tour, the Holiday House can be seen in screens 7 through 11, but the tour shows the entire property as well.
