This two-bedroom, historic stone cabin boasts a cozy living room with a wood-burning fireplace, a flat-panel TV (sound bar and powered subwoofer provide enhanced TV viewing, and you can play your own music via Bluetooth) a tub/shower bathroom, and a covered porch with rocking chairs. As of May 2022, an expanded deck offers hot tub, gas fire pit, and Adirondack chairs with amazing view through trees of the Smoky Mountains National Park.
The small kitchen is still fully equipped with fridge, oven, microwave, and drip coffee maker (filters and grinder provided). The antique cottage has wormy wood interior walls and vintage features as this is an authentic old-cottage built circa 1940-50s.The Nantahala Village is one of the oldest resorts in the area, built just after the Great Smoky Mountains National Park was opened. Guests staying at the Nantahala Village will also enjoy the equipped fitness center, tennis courts, swimming pool, and volleyball court. Amenities also include a full-service restaurant, indoor and outdoor meeting spaces, and a fun game room for the whole family. Note: all Nantahala Village amenities are subject to seasonal hours of operation and may be closed during some times of the year.
The property is conveniently located one mile into the Nantahala Gorge, so just 3 miles from the whitewater action at the Nantahala Outdoor Center and 8 miles to downtown Bryson City.The main level has a small-but-functional kitchen with a staircase down to the lower level. The upstairs bedroom is queen sized and the downstairs is a king. Both bedrooms as well as the living room have smart-TVs for wifi streaming and Roku capability to watch your own subscription apps or use our selection, which includes HBO-Max.
