The Nantahala Village is one of the oldest resorts in the area, built just after the Great Smoky Mountains National Park was opened. Guests staying at the Nantahala Village will also enjoy the equipped fitness center, swimming pool (seasonal), and restaurant (based on availability). Located in the Nantahala Gorge just minutes to whitewater rafting at NOC or 15 minutes back in to downtown Bryson City, the Nantahala Village has been a favorite basecamp for decades. Note: all Nantahala Village amenities are subject to seasonal hours of operation and may be closed during some times of the year.
The cottage is one level. Enter to the patio area and find a hot tub and gas fire pit with cozy Adirondack-style chairs. There's a small covered porch area leading into the cozy great room area. We supply a portable cooking eye for small preparations, but this is not a full kitchen and we suggest care for use. The gas grill (propane tank and a spare are provided) as well as a park-style charcoal grill (bring your own coal and starter fluid) and microwave should suffice for most basic meal prep.
SkyWave internet is super-fast with plenty of bandwidth for streaming or working. Roku TVs allow your own subscription apps or use ours, which include HBO-Max.
