Perched on a private lot within our 50-acre Watershed Resort tract, Watershed 3 delivers a long-range, sunset view of Sassafras Gap from a home you won't mistake for anything else in the mountains. This custom modern cabin was designed by the owner of Watershed himself, built with repurposed materials and environmentally-friendly methods at its core. The result is a "mountain-modern" retreat with chic industrial-loft elements styled with a mountain flair — floor-to-ceiling windows, a home theater, indoor and outdoor rain showers, and a master jetted tub. For 2020, we added a dry sauna to the amenity list. The design details really do need to be witnessed in person — if you'll allow us to call this one of our premiere cabins.

sleeping arrangements
Ground Floor – King Master Suite: An enormous king master bedroom featuring 2 captain's chairs, a modern LED fireplace, and a 50" TV. Large windows and doors open the room to the outside firepit and hot tub, while wall-to-wall drapes allow total blackout when you want it. The adjoining master bath is just as generous, with a 2-person jetted tub, an open rain-shower area, and double sinks. A large washer/dryer is also on this level.
Upstairs – Home Theater / Second Bedroom: This flex space doubles as a home theater and a second king bedroom. Two futon-sofa units fold flat and are topped with a 2" foam mattress topper and pad to form a king bed, made up with full bed linens including a light-down comforter and pillows. This bedroom shares the main bathroom, with its built-in slate tile shower set right into the log structure of the home.
All beds feature pillow-top mattresses, luxury all-cotton linens, and a choice of down and foam pillows with down comforters. Designer-luxury towels are provided for the base number of occupancy, with additional stock towels supplied for hot tub use.

The kitchen is appointed with granite countertops and all-new stainless appliances, including a dishwasher, microwave, and coffee maker. All dishes, utensils, and cooking tools you'll need are provided. The great room's dining table seats 6.
great room
The great room combines living and dining space with loft-industrial interiors and a minimalist theme — leather sofa, bamboo floors, and a gas-log fireplace. An HD TV with Blu-Ray DVD player rounds out the entertainment. Step outside to the wraparound covered deck, where a relaxing bedswing may just trump the indoor space for your time here.

EV Charging: This home is equipped with a 240V outlet ready for a charging station. If you'd like EV charging during your stay, just notify the Watershed Cabins office in advance and we'll set up an Emporia Level 2, 48-amp EV charger for your use.
