About Call of the Wild
The name says it all. Call of the Wild sits tucked into the Nantahala Gorge just ten minutes from the Nantahala Outdoor Center, surrounded by national forest and the kind of quiet that reminds you what mountains are actually for. It’s secluded enough to feel genuinely away from it all — and well-appointed enough that you won’t miss anything you left behind.
The great room sets the tone: stacked log walls, large windows drawing in the forest, a stone gas-log fireplace with Bose surround sound, and a flagstone patio just outside leading down to a custom hot tub deck. The master suite is generous — king bed, master bath with separate shower and Jacuzzi tub, and its own covered porch with direct access to the hot tub. The second bedroom offers a queen bed plus a queen futon, and a spiral staircase leads up to a play loft above the great room. The fire pit and outdoor living space round out a property that genuinely works for families, couples, and groups alike.
Bring the dog. Call of the Wild fully welcomes pets (up to 2 dogs max) — pet fees apply and are handled at booking.
